Approaching Infinity v0.0.2 Released

Tentaculons, The Gruff, Space Pirates, And You!

A new playable version of approaching infinity is released today for the Annual Roguelike Release Party.

I’ve been working on this for a long time, and the last 2 days have been a frenzy of bugfixes and things to make the game as approachable as possible to new players.

Now, lets meet the first three alien races you’ll encounter in space. First up?

The Tentaculons. This might not be their real name, but boy do they have a lot of long arms! They seem to have their own plans, and won’t waste time on you unless you force them. And they have some pretty advanced technology, so that’s not usually a good idea.

Next, The Gruff. And they are just that. If you get too close to them, they will fire on you. Why? They’re a bunch of short, chubby, reptilian blobs who really have something to prove. The elders like to hunt big game, but the youngsters have to go into space to prove themselves first.

Then there are the Space Pirates. They want what you have, and they will shoot you for it. And if you run out of supplies, they will call all their friends and have a party on your hull.

Then there’s you. What will you do? Search for treasure and sell it to the enigmatic Bankers? Help an ancient alien race get back their lost knick-knacks? Or will you aid in the resistance against the Bankers, trying to end their financial invasion tactics for good?
